Clément Noel, an outstanding slalom player

Clément Noël, originally from the Vosges mountains, is a specialist in technical events and more particularly in slalom.

He started in the European Cup in 2014 at 17 years old. At the World Junior Championships he took 4th place in the slalom

He attracts attention at the age of 20, from his first participation in the Olympic Games by taking 4th place in the slalom in PyeongChang 2018. He reached his first World Cup podium in 2019 by taking 2nd place in the Adelboden slalom and signed on January 20 and 26, his first two victories in the slaloms of Wengen and Kitzbühel. He closes the 2018-2019 season with a new victory in his discipline that allows him to be ranked 2nd in the World Cup slalom rankings. Clément Noël again finishes second in the slalom rankings in the 2019-2020 season as well as in the 2020-2021 season.

During the 2021-2022 season, his winter is complicated, with exits from the track and very inconsistent results, especially in January. But during the Olympic slalom of the Beijing Games, he realized by far the best race of his season and won the gold medal. Clément Noel became the third French Olympic slalom champion, after Jean-Claude Killy and Jean-Pierre Vidal.

After his Olympic title, the World Champion title is in his sights!
