Nastasia Noens, the slalom specialist
Nastasia Noens, who specializes in the slalom discipline, won the bronze medal in slalom at the 2008 Junior World Championships and has been on the World Cup slalom podium three times, finishing third in 2011, 2014 and 2016.
The only Frenchwoman to achieve this performance since 2010, she won the team gold medal in parallel slalom at the World Championships in St. Moritz in 2017.
During the pre-season training in September 2019, she seriously injured her right ankle (fracture of the posterior malleolus of the right ankle tibia) and could not take part in the season.
Returning in 2020-2021, she had no top ten finishes, but Nastasia Noens finished eleventh at the World Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo. At age 33, the only pure slalom skier in the French A group, she hesitated to return for another season but finally committed to the 2021-2022 season with the Beijing Olympics where she finished 19th in the slalom event.
Nastasia competed in the 2010, 2014 (7th in slalom) 2018 and Beijing 2022 Olympics. She is a seven-time French champion (2010, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022).
We will be delighted to see her race at the Roc de Fer stadium for the 2023 World Championships.
