Victor Muffat-Jeandet, an athlete with an atypical profile

Born in Aix Les Bains, Victor Muffat-Jeandet participated in his first World Cup event in 2009 in giant slalom. He won his first European Cup in December 2011 in special slalom.

He obtained his first top 10 in the World Cup during the giant slalom in Saint-Moritz in 2014.

During the 2014-2015 season, Victor signs his first World Cup podium during the super combined in Wengen where he takes the second place.

The year 2015/2016 starts very well for him, he signs his second podium in the World Cup, during the giant of Beaver Creek by finishing 2nd, then follows, by two other podiums (3rd) in Val-d’Isere and then in Alta Badia. Then, Victor takes the 2nd place in the Alpine combined in Kitzbühel.

In the 2017-2018 season, Victor wins the first World Cup victory of his career. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, he finishes in third place in the combined and thus wins a bronze medal for the Olympic team of France. He ends the giant slalom season with a very nice 3rd place in Are.

In January 2022, on a particularly degraded ground in Zagreb, he fell and fractured the fibula of the right leg. His season is thus over and he cannot compete in the Olympic Games in Beijing.

We hope that he will come back in great shape during the World Championships and that he will thrill all the people of Savoie who will be behind him more than ever!
