Vincent Kriechmayr has become a legend with his 2 titles at the World Championships in Cortina d'Ampezzo
Vincent is a rather discreet athlete publicly but he expresses himself fully on skis and that’s the main thing of course!
A pure product of Austrian skiing, he climbed the ranks very quickly and, after several podiums in the European Cup, he obtained his first World Cup podium in Kvitfjell in Super G in 2015.
After obtaining 2 world medals in Are in 2019, he makes history by winning 2 titles in a row on the same Championship, in Super G and Downhill, at the World Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo, in February 2021. Only 2 athletes had managed to achieve this feat: Hermann Maier and Bode Miller!
He won both downhill and super G events during the World Cup finals in Courchevel Meribel in 2022. This allowed him to finish 3rd in the overall World Cup super G ranking. We look forward to seeing him at the 2023 Worlds!
