Longines & Alpine Skiing

Based in the Swiss town of Saint-Imier since 1832 and renowned for the elegance of its timepieces, Longines is a member of the Swatch Group, the world’s leading watchmaker. The Longines brand, with its winged hourglass emblem, is established in over 150 countries.

As an Official Partner and Timekeeper of the International Ski Federation (FIS) since 2006, Longines has a long history of technical expertise in the field dating back to 1924, when the brand was called upon to engage with the sport at the “International Winter Sports Week” in Chamonix. Today, the brand has been influential in much of the innovative technology used on the slopes to time and record the athletes’ performances during the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships and the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup.

Longines is also proud to lend its support to some of the world’s most talented skiers, including Mikaela Shiffrin (USA), Marco Odermatt (SUI), Loïc and Mélanie Meillard (SUI), Clément Noël (FRA) and Alex Vinatzer (ITA).
