An intensely exciting event held only every 2 years

After the Olympic Games, this is the most important event in the world of skiing. They take place every two years on odd-numbered years and have only been held in France on three occasions: at Chamonix in 1937 and 1962 and at Val d’Isère in 2009.

Titles and medals

The World Championships bring together in one place both male and female skiers of all disciplines for two weeks.

This is a different competition from the World Cup, which is a circuit of more than 20 different events for men and women, which awards World Cup titles for each discipline and an overall World title.
