We are pleased to announce that TechnoAlpin is the official technical snowmaking partner of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2023 being held in Courchevel and Méribel (France, February 6-19). To be able to guarantee an optimal snow base for the World Championship, TechnoAlpin has equipped the slopes with the latest technologies.

In Courchevel, the resort for the men’s competitions, operations focused mainly on the “Eclipse” slope where 76 pits were installed, 42 of which were doubly equipped with snow lances, as well as 5 additional pits with fan guns on the bottom section of the slope. In Méribel, the resort for the women’s competitions, 16 pits with snow lances have been erected. TechnoAlpin is also providing 3 mobile fan guns.

The collaboration was launched with the operators of the Courchevel and Méribel ski areas long before this major event. This involved a precise analysis of the special features of each site, a determination of the exact production requirements, and an exact calculation and dimensioning of the plant. Once again, TechnoAlpin’s many years of experience and expertise made it possible to find the optimum solutions for the two ski areas.

TechnoAlpin is very proud to have been able to contribute to the preparation and smooth running of this major international winter sports event. These plants and projects in Courchevel and Méribel for the Alpine World Ski Championships 2023 add to an already long list of major projects involving TechnoAlpin – first and foremost, of course, the last Winter Olympics in Beijing, held entirely on slopes with snow from the innovation leader.
